Why Maintenance Matters in North Georgia
North Georgia summers are hot and humid, so air conditioners run long hours and work hard to pull moisture out of the air. That moisture also keeps the drain line and drain pan busy, which is why clogs and overflows are common when they aren’t cleaned. In winter, cold snaps put sudden heavy demand on furnaces and heat pumps.
If you have a heat pump, it heats and cools your home, so it works in both seasons with very little rest. Twice-a-year tune-ups give us a chance to clean the system, test the electrical parts and motors, and catch worn parts before they fail on the hottest or coldest day of the year.
